Prom, by Laurie Halse Anderson, is about a girl named Ashley who, in her final year of high school, does not care one bit about the prom. But her best friend, Natalie, does. Nat is very excited to have a grand and expensive prom, but it wasn’t meant to be. The Prom Committee supervisor, Miss Crane, steals most of the prom money! Ashley doesn’t care, but Nat is heartbroken. Ashley cares a lot about her friend, so she decides to try and fix up the prom. This is close to impossible with the little money that the Prom Committee has left. Will the prom be saved, or will it have to be canceled? Read the book to find out!

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a book with a whole bunch of twists. This book always has a new twist that you would never expect, and you’ll never know what’s coming. Also, this book will keep you hooked until the very end. You won’t be able to put it down!
