The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya by Nagaru Tanigawa is about a girl named Haruhi Suzumiya who forms a school club called the S.O.S. Brigade. Her goal is to find aliens, time-travelers, and espers. The club members and Haruhi hunt for these special “people.” But most of the club members have joined the club for just one reason. They have all figured out that, unknowingly, Haruhi controls the world! Their job is to make sure that Haruhi doesn’t destroy the world. And as it turns out, the only club member that didn’t sign up for this reason, Kyon, is the only one who can make Haruhi keep the world the way it is. But that’s a really hard job since Haruhi is fed up with this world. Will Kyon save the world, or will Haruhi unknowingly destroy it? Read the book to find out!

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a good fantasy with many twists. This book is suspenseful and will make you keep on reading until the very end. Also, you’ll be amazed with every new twist in the plot as you find out that the members of the S.O.S. Brigade aren’t as regular as they seem. It’s a great quick read!
