Define Normal by Julie Anne Peters is about two girls that are complete opposites. Antonia is the good girl who always does what she is supposed to do. While Jasmine (jazz) is the rebellious one who shaves half her head and goes against her parent’s orders. But they both will find that they have more in common than they think. Before they get they get to know each other Antonia misjudges Jazz, Antonia (or as Jazz calls her Tone) thinks of Jazz as a Punker, a druggie, and a gang banger. They both realize that judging people is wrong and that they can be closer than they ever thought possible.
